Michel Lorach, KHSOTM President and Instructor
Michel began karate in 1970 at the age of 14. In 1974 he received his First Degree Black Belt
(1st Dan) and began to teach karate in France while managing his own business company.
He soon became renown in both regional and national competitions (kumite and katas).
At the same time, Michel was also a Technical Instructor in East of France for Karate Teachers.
In 2001, Michel has become a member of the European College of Karate Black Belt.
In 2006, Michel received his 7th Degree Black Belt.
Michel has now more than 38 years of training and 34 years as a karate sensei.
He has been to Japan many times to perfect his skills with Japanese masters in Tokyo, Kyoto and Okinawa.
During his trips to Japan, Europe, North America, Michel has had the opportunity to train with great masters
such as Hirokazu Kanazawa, Gilbert Gruss, Nishiyama, Tanaka, Osaka, Ueki, Nagamine, Asai, Abe,
Shirai, Enoeda, Kase, Mori, Kawasoe, Yahara, Kawawada, Miura, Koga, Ochi, Sauvin, Fisher.
In April 2006, Michel opens his own dojo in Carmel, California.
